Embru products are designed and manufactured for long-term use. We place great emphasis on the use of high-quality materials and a design that is easy to maintain. Regular maintenance of heavily used furniture ensures the longest possible product life. The high level of in-house production enables us to offer our customers the replacement or exchange of individual components.

Steel with a reduced carbon footprint

With XCarb®, Embru relies on recycled, sustainably produced steel, thereby actively supporting the transition to a climate-neutral industry. Together with ArcelorMittal, we are driving forward innovations to achieve CO₂-free steel production by 2050.

100% renewable electricity

At our Rüti production site, we use only electricity from renewable energy sources. Part of our electricity needs is met by our own photovoltaic system: since it came online in 2020, we have continuously expanded it and, in May 2024, added an additional 146 kWp system. This brings our total capacity to 255 kWp, enabling us to meet around 10 per cent of our electricity requirements in Rüti ourselves.

Stored energy in the form of hot water

The new hot-water tank provides heated water, using solar power to utilise energy in a targeted and efficient manner.

To assess the sustainability of our business practices, we have had them certified in accordance with the Ecovadis rating. The results of this initial certification confirm that we are already making a significant contribution towards achieving a sustainable and responsible economy.

With our ISO certification, which is continuously audited by Swiss Safety Center AG, we ensure that our work in relation to processes, procedures, principles and standards is always up to date. Embru has had a comprehensive quality management system in place for over 30 years. The ISO 9001 standard (International Organisation for Standardisation) sets out not only a process of continuous improvement but also minimum requirements for the organisation, thereby ensuring that products and services are provided to customers in the required scope and quality.

Voluntary climate protection and energy efficiency: Through its voluntary participation in the programme to actively reduce CO₂ emissions and optimise energy efficiency, Embru is committed to sustainable climate protection out of conviction. A useful addition to our environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001.
