Hess-Honegger Pension Fund
Embru operates its own, semi-autonomous pension fund. The Hess-Honegger Pension Fund provides occupational pension provision in accordance with the Swiss Occupational Pensions Act (BVG) and its implementing regulations. It covers the employees of the company and those of enterprises with which it has close economic or financial links. The pension fund is organised on a defined-contribution basis with reinsurance covering the risks of death and disability. The Board of Trustees consists of six members. Dr Hermann Walser serves as Chairman. The Managing Director is Sandro Onofri.

Performance and funding ratio
The overall performance in 2024 was 13.2% (previous year: 4.9%). The funding ratio stands at an excellent 125.9% (previous year: 120.4%). The rate of return on retirement capital was 6.0% (previous year: 2.0%), which is significantly above the minimum rate of return defined by the Federal Council. The conversion rate for extra-mandatory assets is 5.2 per cent and for mandatory assets 6.8 per cent.
