Lecture Theatre Construction

This project illustrates the steps involved in the construction of a lecture theatre, from the planning stage right through to completion. Embru supports the project through every phase and brings the necessary expertise to meet the complex requirements of this specialised field. It is not only precise planning but also our sound, long-standing experience in lecture theatre construction that enables such a project to be successfully completed. Gain an insight into the project, carried out in collaboration with the architectural practice Aeby Perneger and commissioned by the City of Nyon.

This is the most important and time-consuming phase in the entire construction process. Before the substructure can be laid to exact dimensions, each connection piece for the study stations is levelled using a laser positioning device (centre of the image) and fitted to the substructure. Only this precise installation ensures that the ventilation outlets in the compressed air system will also fit the cladding. This preparatory work is crucial for the subsequent assembly.

As described previously, the floor panelling is laid seamlessly using flame-retardant panels, ensuring that the compressed air system blows air into the hall only through these openings.

The precision work carried out in the previous phases is now evident. The extensions are fitted to the table supports and aligned so that the table tops and panels can be joined seamlessly and screwed into place – every millimetre counts.

Once the final fittings and individual seating units have been installed, checks on materials, completeness, cleanliness and functionality are carried out with the partners, and the project is handed over to the client and the building owner.
