Weissenstein School AG

On the site of the existing Weissenstein school complex, the extension comprising two separate buildings will be completed in March 2020. Embru is furnishing the school with desks and chairs, both of which are height-adjustable via a gas lift. The chairs from the customisable 2100 series by designer Christophe Marchand are made from pressed oak. The clearly visible grain becomes a vibrant element within the otherwise simple and understated colour scheme of the classrooms. This commission also features a classic: the Model 1255 chair, designed by architect Gustav Hassenpflug in 1934. The minimalist chair from the Bauhaus era fits perfectly into the modernist-style building. For the staff room at the Weissenstein school, it is being produced for the first time with an upholstered seat and backrest.
