Lecture Theatre, University of Lausanne Polyclinic

The two lecture theatres, each seating 250, are arranged ‘one above the other’ beneath the building’s inner courtyard. The architectural concept of the ‘caverne minérale’ in the heart of the Lausanne molasse required some spectacular and challenging underground works, resulting in a series of astonishing undulating concrete structures along the rugged rock face.
