Swivel seats for lecture theatres

The in-house development department is responsible for the design and technical implementation of all furniture manufactured in Rüti. The department has always been part of Embru-Werke and maintains an extensive archive of furniture designs, both in physical form as drawings on tracing paper and in digital format. The team consists of project managers and design engineers and trains apprentices. The operation complies with the ISO 9001 standard.

At Embru, new products are developed by interdisciplinary project teams. Today, the development process is largely digital, although prototypes are also regularly produced. These undergo extensive testing in the company’s own test facility at the Rüti plant before going into series production.
