Maintenance of hospital and care beds

As a manufacturer of care beds and a distributor of hospital beds, we would like to draw your attention to some important provisions in the Medical Devices Ordinance (MepV). In accordance with the MepV, you are operating Class I medical devices. Under Article 71, the operator (e.g. a hospital or care home) is responsible for the planning, organisation, implementation and documentation of the maintenance and servicing of the medical devices located on its premises. We have drawn up maintenance guidelines for our beds, which we would be happy to provide. These checklists must be used by trained specialists. Training or induction of these individuals should preferably be carried out by our specialist staff.

During the training, we also cover the applicable MepV regulations and the relevant safety standards. We place particular emphasis on conducting the training sessions on the specific bed type in question. Participants will receive a course certificate upon completion. Please note that participants from the technical department must possess a good level of technical and language skills. To enable us to plan the courses, we ask you to complete the registration form.
